About Dr. Scamahorn
Dr. John R. Scamahorn has been a practicing veterinarian in Greencastle since his graduation from Purdue University School of Medicine. He is active in community and professional organizations. His professional memberships include the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association, the American Association of Bovine Practitioners, the American Animal Hospital Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
The Indiana Veterinary Medical Association recognized Dr. Scamahorn as the Veterinarian of the Year in 1994. In 2001, the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine granted Dr. Scamahorn the Distinguished Alumnus Award.
Dr. Scamahorn is currently serving as an accreditation site visitor for the AVMA Council on Education and the AVMA Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities.
